The Alabamian: What are your hobbies besides tennis?
Helene: I played soccer for five or six years when I was younger and I still love to play it. I wish I could play it more often; it was a lot of fun. I also like music, movies, and I like to travel. In the summer, when I am going back home to Norway, I usually do not stay there because I like to go travel around Europe or other parts of the world.
The Alabamian: What traits do you like and dislike in people?
Helene: I like people who are concerned with deeper things. I love discussing politics, movies, books, music. I hate when people are ignorant, racist, annoying. I don't like dumb people.

Helene: That is a hard one. I read many books, but I am bad with titles. There is one book that I read, it is called Q & A, which is actually the book that the movie Slumdog Millionaire is based on, but I did not realize it until I was half way into the film. That is probably my favorite.
